Privacy Policy

Geise Dental Effective date: September 9, 2026

Geise Dental ("Geise Dental," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit www.geise-dental.com (the "Site"), contact us, or communicate with us by phone, email, or text message, how we use that information, and the choices you have. It applies to our Huntsville, Madison, and Clift Farm locations in Alabama.

This Privacy Policy covers our website and communications. Protected health information that we collect as your dental provider is governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices under HIPAA, available on our Patient Forms page and in our offices. Where this Policy and the Notice of Privacy Practices differ regarding health information, the Notice of Privacy Practices controls.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you use the contact or appointment request form, call or text our office, email us, or download and return patient forms, you may provide your name, phone number, email address, preferred location, the reason for your visit, insurance information, and any other details you choose to share.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, the site that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. We collect this through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies (see Section 5).

Call and message information. When you call or text a number listed on the Site or in our communications, we may record the number you called from, the time and duration of the call, the content of text messages exchanged with our office, and, where permitted by law and disclosed at the start of the call, a recording of the call for quality and training purposes.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • respond to your requests and schedule, confirm, and remind you of appointments;

  • communicate with you about your care, follow-up instructions, recall visits, billing, and patient satisfaction;

  • operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and our services;

  • understand how visitors find and use the Site so we can improve it and our outreach;

  • send practice news, offers, and announcements where you have agreed to receive them;

  • comply with legal obligations and protect our rights and the safety of our patients and staff.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

Service providers. We work with vendors who help us operate the Site and communicate with patients, such as website hosting, form processing, appointment scheduling and reminder systems, text messaging and call tracking providers, email services, and analytics providers. These vendors may access information only to perform services for us and are required to protect it.

Affiliated support organization. Geise Dental is supported by Pearl Street Dental Partners, which provides administrative, marketing, and technology services to our practice. Information may be shared with Pearl Street Dental Partners and its service providers for those purposes, subject to the same protections described in this Policy.

Legal and safety. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Geise Dental, our patients, or others.

Business changes. If our practice is involved in a merger, acquisition, or transfer of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy or a policy that is at least as protective.

4. Text Messaging (SMS/MMS) and Mobile Information

If you provide your mobile number and opt in to text messages from Geise Dental, we use it to send appointment-related and practice communications as described in our Terms of Service. Your mobile phone number and SMS opt-in consent will not be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is shared only with the messaging vendors that send texts on our behalf, solely to deliver those messages. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message. Message and data rates may apply.

5. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising Technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to make it work, remember your preferences, and understand how it is used. We use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) that collect information about your visit and may set their own cookies. We may also use advertising tools (such as Google Ads and Meta pixels) that help us measure the effectiveness of our advertising and show ads to people who have visited the Site. These tools may collect your IP address, device identifiers, and browsing activity on the Site.

We do not use these technologies to collect or share protected health information, and we configure them to limit data collection on pages where you provide information about your care. You can control cookies through your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on, and manage ad personalization through your Google and Meta account settings. Disabling cookies may affect some features of the Site.

6. Your Choices

  • Email. You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link in any email or by contacting us. We may still send transactional messages about your appointments and account.

  • Text messages. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts, or tell our office.

  • Phone. Ask our office to note your preferred contact method and times.

  • Access and correction. Contact us to review or update the contact information we have on file for you. Requests regarding your dental records are handled under our Notice of Privacy Practices.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect through the Site and our communications. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive health, insurance, or payment information through the Site's general contact form.

8. Data Retention

We keep website and communication information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, to maintain your patient relationship with us, and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations. Dental records are retained in accordance with Alabama law and our Notice of Privacy Practices.

9. Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information through the Site from children under 13. A parent or guardian should submit any appointment request or form on behalf of a minor patient. If you believe a child has provided us information through the Site, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Third-Party Websites

The Site may link to third-party websites and services, including maps, online scheduling, patient portals, payment processors, and social media. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices. We encourage you to review their policies before providing information.

11. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no common standard for these signals, the Site does not currently respond to them.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised, and the current version will always be posted on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the revised Policy.
